As a Small Engine Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of small engine equipment. You will also be responsible for completing routine maintenance and servicing of small engine equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of small engine repair and maintenance, a commitment to excellent customer service, and a desire to stay up to date with the latest trends in the industry.

Job Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair small engines on a variety of outdoor power equipment, including mowers, weed whackers, snow blowers, and chainsaws

Inspect and replace spark plugs, oil filters, and air filters

Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on carburetors

Dismantle, repair, and reassemble small engines

Replace worn and broken parts, such as belts and blades

Inspect lawn and garden equipment for safety and proper functioning

Perform routine maintenance and services on lawn and garden equipment

Perform a test run on each repaired piece of equipment and document results

Provide advice and recommendations on equipment repairs

Maintain records on all repairs and services performed

Follow manufacturers instructions and safety procedures

Must possess basic small engine mechanical knowledge and experience

Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues

Ability to perform small engine repair and maintenance

Familiarity with relevant tools and equipment

Ability to read and understand technical manuals

Ability to communicate effectively with customers

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Ability to stand for long periods of time

Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations

Good verbal and written communication skills

Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Valid Drivers license and clean driving record

Ability to pass a criminal background check
