Area Sales Manager

Beechwood Sales and Service, local beer distributor, is hiring in our Sales Department. Beechwood works with a wide portfolio of beverages including craft breweries like 3 Sheeps and Central Waters. We currently have an Area Sales Manager position overseeing Green Bay, Fox Valley, Door County, Manitowoc, and Sheboygan areas. Essential Job Functions:

• Supervise, mentor, and direct assigned Sales Team to ensure the greatest possible sales and distribution of products
• Grow both on and off premise account base within assigned territories through successful sale, distribution, and placement of Craft portfolio
• Understand and promote the value of properly merchandised products and signage at retail; Ensure proper merchandising of accounts with permanent and paper POS
• Develop rapport with Key accounts, assigned customer base, and promote the goodwill of the company
• Handle customer inquiries regarding credit, delivery, product information, invoicing and other inquiries as they arise
• Organize the sales department’s structure including assigning accounts, territories, and product lines
• Recruit, select, and train the sales force, including annual reviews
• Schedule and assist personnel to cover promotional activities, festivals, and special events
• Prepare monthly sales objectives and plan of action related to business activities, including projecting sales and ordering products and POS
• Assist in handling supplier relationships as required
• Other duties as assigned

Essential Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably with an emphasis in marketing, sales and/or business management
• Excellent managerial, communication, and leadership capabilities
• Direct experience in the beverage industry
• Knowledge of legal requirements regarding the sale and delivery of alcoholic beverages

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Ability and willingness to work independently and as part of a team

Critical Physical Demands:

• Use of hand and foot controls for driving
• Walking and climbing stairs
• Two handed lifting, handling and carrying of cases from floor to overhead levels on a frequent basis.
• Pushing and pulling a hand truck and/or cart on level and inclined surfaces on a frequent basis
• Sustained squatting, kneeling, and/or bending while handling products
• Sufficient manual dexterity to operate business equipment including, but not limited to, computer, telephone, adding machine
