Terminal Manager

Beelman Truck Co. has provided quality, dependable service for over 116 years. With over 800 power units and more than 70 million miles last year, it is no surprise that Beelman Truck Co. is number 1 in the dry bulk business. We are currently seeking an experienced Terminal Manager for our East St. Louis, IL terminal. The ideal candidate will have transportation operations experience, with transporting bulk commodities in end-dump aor pneumatic tank trailers a plus. We need self-starters with the ability to grow the business.

Here is what you will do:

* Responsible for the overall management of terminal operations by providing leadership and direction to achieve facility and company goals for operating revenue, growth, and service.

* Develop personnel while managing turnover at acceptable levels.

* Organize, plan, and implement transportation solutions for customers that utilize the best cost operation to maximize profitability and ensure customer satisfaction.

* Establish and maintain an effective relationship with customers and participate in sales calls.

* Develop and maintain new business.

* Ensure compliance by drivers and other employees with established DOT regulations and safety standards to maintain the working environment and safety of our employees and equipment.

* Oversee the planning and scheduling of all preventative maintenance in a timely and productive manner.

* Ensure that all maintenance work is performed in a safe, efficient and timely manner.

* Lead and manage all activities related to the shop and shop employees.

* Monitor operational performance and efficiency and take action to redirect appropriately.

* Make recommendations for process/program changes for improvement or efficiencies.

Here is what you will need:

* 3-5 years of leadership experience in the transportation industry.

* Experience managing multiple customer accounts is strongly preferred.

* Demonstrated experience developing, leading, and directing a team is strongly desired

* Experience in bulk commodities is a plus.

* Strong technology skills including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and routing or dispatching systems.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
