Job Description:
The Head Baker will be responsible for co-creating, launching, managing, and overseeing daily operations of the BBF bakery. We are seeking a baker with a seriously deep passion for grain - how it’s grown, where it’s grown, who it’s grown by and why its quality is so dependent on all of these factors combined. We want the grain to drive everything in the bakery space, and a baker that can think creatively around its usage based on its unique qualities is key. This individual will lead the development, execution, and oversight of the BBF bakery program.
The bakery will be expected to produce a daily offering of bread and other grain forward products based on the seasonal demand of the community. When relevant, the head baker will work in coordination with the head chef to produce a range of daily offerings including but not limited to, daily grab & go offerings, seasonal value added products, catering, and culinary event enterprises. As such, this individual must be entrepreneurial, highly organized, comfortable working in a dynamic environment, and have a growth mindset.
