The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for an energetic individual to plan, prepare and provide meals for children attending Eden Early Learning Centre, including maintaining food expenditure.
As Children Services Cook, you will prepare and display a weekly menu as well as develop and maintain a written food safety plan which includes procedures for safe food handling and storage. You will maintain accurate and functional records of each child’s individual dietary requirements including food allergies, religious or cultural food requirements, and food likes and dislikes.

About You
We are seeking an individual who holds a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (SIT30816) and a NSW Working with Children Check, has completed Year 10 secondary education (or equivalent) and has current NSW Class C drivers licence.
You will have the following skills and experience;
This is a fixed term part time position working 25 hours per week for a period of 12 months.
The total remuneration package for this position commences at $58,868.68 (pro-rata) gross per annum, comprising of:

About You

- Sound knowledge and understanding of the daily health, dietary and nutritional needs of infants and young children.
- Sound knowledge of Regulations, Standards, Policies and professional practices for the provision of food in early childhood services.
- Advanced skills in menu planning, food storage, safety, transport, preparation and handling.
- Working knowledge of the safe operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment e.g. dishwashers, fridge/freezer, food processors and mixers, microwaves and conventional ovens.
This is a fixed term part time position working 25 hours per week for a period of 12 months.
The total remuneration package for this position commences at $58,868.68 (pro-rata) gross per annum, comprising of:
- $1,019.90 per week base salary
- $112.19 per week superannuation (calculated at 11%)
