General Description We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team. This position is highly visible throughout the organization and will deal with a broad range of accounting topics. As a valuable resource to the organization, you must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills. You must also have the ability to coordinate and manage projects, be proactive and deadline-focused, as well as highly organized. Responsibilities Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation. Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes. Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices Assist with SOX compliance and management of material control audits Assist with compilation of information for preparation of tax returns Oversee payroll and accounts payable accounting Expense report administration Miscellaneous projects as they arise TBD Competencies Ethics - Treats people with respect; Inspires the trust of others; Works with integrity and ethically; Upholds organizational values.
