A Buyer job is currently accepting applications. This is a direct hire position with our key aerospace client. In this role, you will procure materials for various processes within the manufacturing process. To be considered for this role, you will have a B.S. Degree along with 3 years of supply chain procurement experience.

Buyer Job Responsibilities:
*Secures the necessary raw material, equipment, supplies and services in an effort to meet or exceed service level objectives
*Proficient in internet searches for materials and services
*Creates and approves purchase orders in ERP System
*Able to consistently follow established processes and procedures
*Utilize approved alternate suppliers to minimize cost and increase profitability
*Negotiates and influences price to meet or exceed expectations of cost quotes
*Investigate and develop new sources of supply and make recommendations for approval of new sources
*Manages cost savings, delivering on annual direct, indirect, and cost avoidance objectives
*Resolves discrepancies and issues in invoices and purchase orders
*Analyzes current state of processes, recommend improvements, and influence LEAN change
*Evaluates performance of suppliers
*Adheres to spend authority guidelines as published in the company policy
*Manages select inventory programs within the operation
*Provides purchasing service and information for other departments as required
*Champions process improvement initiatives

Buyer Job Requirements:
*B.S. Degree
*Five (5) year minimum experience in Procurement or closely related field desired
*Two (2) year minimum experience manufacturing
*Knowledge of machine shop preferred
*Experience with Kanbans or similar basic inventory management
*High attention to details
*Highly organized
*Solid verbal and written communication skills
*Experience in ERP/MRP system(s) highly preferred. E2 experience a plus
*Experience in Microsoft Office Suite highly desired with emphasis in Excel Skills
*Excellent fundamental math skills
*Above average reasoning skills
*Works with a sense of urgency
