Responsibilities:
-Attend and actively participate in daily contractor safety meetings and JSA's.
-Take responsibility for evaluation of the quality of the JSA process.
-Resolve field safety issues with contractors.
-Ensure that near misses and other incidents are properly reported and investigated.
-Provide input for content of, and lead, weekly formal project HSE communications meetings. Mentor contractor HSE personnel.
-Work with Company and Contractor Field Coordinators to anticipate potential safety issues before they arise.
-Ensure understanding of future work activity to assist with HSE related planning for the work to be performed.
-Lead formal, documented safety audits.
-Evaluate the quality of the HSE audit process and address any gaps.
-Identify the need for, and lead, special HSE initiatives.
-Ensure project contractor's understanding, and application, of the Project HSE Management System.
-Act as point of contact with regard to resolution of safety issues that arise during the course of construction activities.
-Manage the regulatory reporting of wastes and provide oversight and guidance of waste characterizations, waste handling, container management, inspections, waste tracking, manifest preparation and tracking, and recordkeeping.
-Conduct waste sample collection and work with personnel and disposal facilities to determine analytical requirements.

-Solid regulatory knowledge.
-Ability to develop sound solutions to technical problems.
-Ability and desire to mentor and train others.
-Ability to actively drive line organization accountability for HSE.
-Ability to present ideas in an organized manner.
-Ability to anticipate barriers and plan for contingencies.
