An Buyer/Expeditor job is currently available at Belcan in Windsor, CT. This is a full time, direct position with full benefits. In this role, you will be responsible for purchasing, parts expediting and working with various suppliers and internal partners.
Responsibilities:
- Basic Purchasing
- Working with planner to order current quantity of product
- Creating raw material PO's
- Comparing PO’s against supplier contracts
- Finding/handling discretions
- Ensuring material availability and match customer requirements
- Edit contract terms and conditions
- Monitoring the supplier performance (quality and technical capabilities, price, delivery, etc.)
- Cooperating with the global purchasing team to achieve global targets and goals
- Maintain acccurate puchasing data in ERP system
Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in relevant field is preferred but not required
- Two years" experience in supply chain, procurement/purchasing, expediting and/or delivery assurance
- Must be energetic, driven and outgoing as you will take charge of supply base customers.
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-pace environment
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- CostPoint or SAP, ERP, MRP experience is a big plus
- Ability to interact with customers and vendors in a professional manner
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-pace environment
- US Citizenship required due to the nature of this work
