A Modeler/Drafter position is currently available at Belcan in Indianapolis, IN. This is a full-time, direct job with full benefits. Matching candidates will have 1-2 years" experience in an established engineering environment, with exposure to product component design and detailing. Great matching candidates will have 1 to 2 years" engineering experience in aerospace or another highly regulated industry. You will be working with Belcan and customer engineers to help design, model, and draft gas turbine engine components, externals, tooling, and fixtures.
Job Title job duties:
* Parametric modeling
* 2D drafting and detailed design
* Adhering to customer-specific design standards in accordance with ANSI/ASME Y14.5
* Exercising good communication skills, both written and verbal
Qualifications:
* 1 to 2 years" experience with NX 11
* Ability to follow directions, guidelines, standards, and procedures
* Exposure to GD&T practices
* Ability to quickly learn new skills and tools
* Due to the nature of the work performed, US Citizenship is REQUIRED
Desired but not required skills:
* Teamcenter experience
* Aerospace engineering background preferred
