The QA Lead for the 1st Processing on the 3rd Shift is responsible for ensuring that all quality assurance (QA) protocols are followed during the initial stages of chicken processing. This role involves leading a team of QA technicians, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with all food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the QA team during the 3rd shift, ensuring all processes meet company standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of the 1st processing line to ensure compliance with USDA and company food safety standards.
- Monitor and verify the implementation of HACCP, SSOP, and GMP programs.
- Train and develop QA technicians on quality and safety standards.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues, documenting findings and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the processing line.
- Prepare and maintain QA reports, logs, and records.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/GED or higher.
- 3 years of experience in food processing, preferably in poultry.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, SSOP, GMP, and USDA regulations.
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Ability to work on a 3rd shift schedule (overnights).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety.
