Job Description
Job Summary:
Assist attorney(s) by providing clerical and research support services including document preparation and review; communicating with clients and attorneys where required; research (via Lexis Nexis), investigations, and fact checking; trial preparation.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Draft and file legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and interrogatories according to judicial procedures;
· Perform research; analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provide written analysis to attorneys where required.
· Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items.
· Assist attorney(s) with trial preparation.
· Meet with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss cases or projects.
· Develop and maintain records regarding billable hours spent on specific cases.
· Perform other administrative duties as assigned, with the overall goal of efficient functioning of the firm.

Education and Experience:
· Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field required; Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred.
· Paralegal certificate required.
· Minimum three (3) years' law firm experience and references required.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
