Cafe Attendant - Full Time

We are open 5 days a week, from 8:30am-4:30pm (8:30am - 2:30pm - Winter hours) and are looking for applicants with a strong work ethic and friendly attitude. You are someone who wants to work hard and learn about all aspects of the food service industry, while working shifts that may range from 4 hours to 8 hours. Want to grow with a growing business? Who You Are: We are looking for a friendly individual who loves making connections with people, is a warm communicator, and prefers staying busy. Our new team member will also have:

· Strong interpersonal communication

· Active listening skills

· Ability to memorize menu items and remember guest requests

· Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize

· 6 months customer service experience

· Problem solving ability

· Ability to work well on a team

· Cash handling experience (preferred)

What You’ll Do: The Cafe Attendant position is the first point of contact with our valued guests! You will serve customers and talk to them, smile at them, resolve issues with them, and thank them.

Day-to-day responsibilities may include:

· Learning the names and order preferences of regulars

· Communicating ingredients, allergies and cooking techniques to guests

· Providing memorable customer service

· Entering orders with accuracy on a point-of-sale tablet device

· Handling cash, swiping credit cards, and entering tips with accuracy

· Cleaning counter and guest-facing areas of the café

· Barista duties such as making espresso drinks and smoothies

· Food prep duties such as heating paninis, light baking or making bowls

· Light Baking Skills with ability to follow a recipe required

· Washing dishes

· Stocking supplies

· Answering the phone

· Preparing ‘To Go’ orders

· Exceeding the expectations of our guests whenever possible

· Regularly stand, bend; occasionally lift 30-40 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
