ANTICIPATED OPENING FOR THE 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEARFUNDING CONTINGENT ON TOWN MEETING APPROVAL MAY 24, 2023BELLINGHAM PUBLIC SCHOOLSBELLINGHAM, MASSACHUSETTSVacancy # 72Date: May 15, 2023Title: Business Teacher Reports to: Building PrincipalJob DescriptionJOB GOAL: Maximizes students fulfillment of their potential for intellectual and social emotional growth as able and responsible adults.Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.Maintain the program of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students and employs a variety of instructional techniques and media.Maintain the classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.Prepare for classes assigned, and show written evidence of the delivery of the curriculum at the classroom level, in the form of lesson/unit plans.Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and in harmony with the goals establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects and the like to communicate these objectives to students.Strives to implement by instruction and action the districts philosophy of education, instructional goals, and objectives.Assess the accomplishments/learning of students on a regular basis and provide grade reports as required.Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations.Make provision for being available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day when required or requested.Strive to maintain and improve professional competence.Attend faculty and department meetings and serves on staff committee as required. Other duties as assigned. QualificationsMA DESE Grade 9-12 Business Certification RequiredHigh school teaching experience preferredCommitment to ensuring academic success for all studentsExperience working with diverse student populations preferredAbility to read, interpret, and apply student performance data to instructional planning and executionStrong written and verbal communication skills; excellent teamwork skills required

Salary : $53,000 - $67,100
