General Function:
Perform a wide range of inspection functions in accordance with approved procedures and/or instructions
Primary Responsibilities:
- It is every BPM, Inc. Employee’s responsibility to be aware of and work with Belvac’s current documented Quality Management System as it pertains to their job requirements
- Perform a wide range of inspection functions in accordance with approved procedures and/or instructions. These functions include but may not be limited to:
- Receipt Inspection to include staging of parts and materials
- In Process Inspections
- First piece
- Final
- Final Inspection
- Assembly Inspection
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Knowledge Required to Perform Job:
Basic Inspection Skills:
- Able to perform basic inspection using Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators and basic hand gages
- Blue Print Reading
- Basic Math skills
- Basic PC skills
- Microsoft Windows
- RFCA & Receipt inspection databases
Coordinate Measuring Machine Skills:
Load and run programs on Direct Computer Control (DCC)-CMM- Perform basic inspection on DCC-CMM, which as a minimum should include:
- Probe calibration, Set up of part and/or fixtures, part alignment, measurement of part features, verifying part dimensions with data output from CMM.
Education:
- High school graduate or GED
Experience:
- 1 year experience as a quality inspector in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work all shifts and travel on a continuous seven-day work cycle if needed
- A working knowledge of Mathematics, Geometry and Trigonometry
- Basic CMM skills
- Visual acuity to perform inspection, read gauging and perform visual inspections
