Accounting Clerk

Belzona Inc. is the global leading manufacturer of high performance polymer coatings, with an extensive, worldwide network of over 160 international distributors operating in over 120 countries. We are currently looking to recruit a hardworking, motivated, deadline driven Accounting Clerk to join our Florida based team.

ROLE

Based in our Miami Lakes, FL facility, this position is responsible for assisting the existing team with general accounting functions, month end and quarterly accruals, inter-company reconciliations, credit card reconciliations and other typical accounting duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Experience, education, certifications, general knowledge, skills and abilities.)

• 1-3 years of experience in accounting or similar role

• Proficiency in QuickBooks
• Microsoft Office Suites and Excel proficient
• Sales and Use Tax experience of filing and reviewing receipts/invoices for use taxes

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Fundamental duties necessary to achieve the objective of the position)

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Review and file invoices for Sales and Use Tax
• Mail and email monthly statements to customers
• Petty cash reports (add receipts to QuickBooks and cut a check)
• Reconcile Company Credit Cards : send statements and collect receipts; match receipts with statements; enter data into QuickBooks
• Bank Reconciliations : monthly bank reconciliation in QuickBooks for three companies
• File annual 1099s : request updated W-9s for all vendors; review vendors in QuickBooks and select vendors required as a 1099; file online all vendors identified as 1099
• Back up for A/P : requesting approvals; requesting backup for invoices; entering bills into QuickBooks; sign off the balances quarterly, match with each company monthly using intercompany exchange rates
• Foreign currency reports (calculate monthly exchange rate and add to QuickBooks)

Must speak and write English to a high level of competency; bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is not required but would be helpful.
