Multi-entity real estate developer and construction company is seeking a skilled accounts payable clerk to be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for generating the payment to vendors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. This position also fills a key role in office administration as receptionist, mail clerk, and general clerical support. Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Controller and Admin Team members to support all accounting and administrative functions of the company
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts payable data
- Maintain vendor records and reconcile statements of account
- Maintain accurate and complete records and timely processing of all transaction
- Research and analysis of customer transactions and troubleshoot problems
- Develop excellent vendor and client relationships
- Assist with employee timecards and labor distribution records
- Perform general office administrative tasks
- Answer telephones, direct calls and interact with field employees
- Maintain records
- Maintain office supply inventory
- Other administrative support as needed
Skills
- Proven working experience as accounts payable clerk (or accounts receivable clerk)
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Desired education and skills requirements:
- BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
- Basic fundamentals of Windows OS & proficiency in Microsoft Apps
- 60 WPM typing speed and 10 key experience
- CA Drivers’ License
