Job Overview :
As the Pump Division Foreman , you will lead and direct production operations, ensuring all safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals are met.
You will oversee the shop’s workforce, coordinating across departments to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of jobs.
Key Responsibilities :
Leadership & Oversight : Manage and direct a team of 10-20 employees, including machinists, mechanics, and apprentices.
Delegate tasks, coach and recognize team members, and address disciplinary needs.
- Production Management : Monitor and resolve issues that may affect production efficiency. Implement strategies for workflow optimization and operational improvements.
- Safety & Compliance : Enforce safety regulations and conduct annual performance reviews for all direct reports.
- Interdepartmental Coordination : Collaborate daily with other departments to meet production targets and delivery deadlines.
- Process Improvement : Work cross-functionally to drive cost savings, process enhancements, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Equipment Maintenance : Ensure proper operation and maintenance of all equipment and machinery.
- Communication : Serve as the main point of contact for upper management, project managers, and direct reports during ongoing projects, including nights and weekends.
- Project Support : Assist project managers with task time limits and attend daily / weekly production meetings to relay critical information.
- Documentation : Review job packets before shipment to guarantee accuracy and monitor active jobs to ensure timely completion.
- Procurement : Oversee the procurement of job-specific parts and materials as needed.
Compensation :
- Hourly Rate : This position offers a pay range of $35 $40 per hour , depending on experience.
- Bonus Plan : Foremen are also eligible for a monthly management bonus plan , with the potential to earn up to $700 per month based on accomplishing set goals (prorated accordingly).
Qualifications :
- Experience : Proven experience driving production in a fast-paced manufacturing or repair environment, with a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Leadership Skills : Previous supervisory or team leader experience in a similar role.
- Technical Skills : Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Physical Requirements : Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Availability : Willingness to work overtime and respond to emergent call-ins as needed. Our team operates 24 / 7 / 365 to meet customer needs.
