The Wholesale Operations Manager is responsible for the operational performance of the wholesale division of the company. Activities will result in achieving sales and profit goals, providing the highest possible service to the customer base, and fostering a work environment conducive to maximum productivity, safety, quality, and morale.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform data analysis and review metrics to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements.
- Conduct market research and work with outside sales staff to maintain in-demand inventory and identify growth opportunities for product categories/markets.
- Review external industry forces that may require company response.
- Contribute to company budget planning and performance monitoring.
- Assist with establishment of short-and long-term goals for all accounts and territories.
- Oversee operations for the wholesale division.
- Provide leadership to the wholesale management staff to achieve short- and long-term operational goals.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and execution of the wholesale sales process to achieve short- and long-term goals for the division, with focus on budgeting, sales, inventory management, and maximum profitability.
- Create, implement, and manage strategies and processes to guarantee all product, inbound and outbound, is received and sent timely and securely at each distribution center.
- Foster a culture of safety and ownership, creating an environment conducive to personal development and ensure a robust and engaged workforce throughout the wholesale division.
Skill Requirements:
- Prior Senior Leadership experience in a distribution environment.
- Tire industry experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills.
- Commitment to change management.
- Cultivation of strategic relationships.
- Ability to gain market share in a mature industry.
- Management of P&L.
- Forecasting, goal setting, and goal achievement.
- Excellent communication skills
Work Environment:
Warehouse environment, office environment. May be subject to extreme temperatures. Frequent travel to distribution centers required.
Physical Job Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally,
Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in business or supply chain preferred.
3 years prior Senior Leadership experience in a distribution environment preferred.
