What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Accountant II position at Benchmark Electronics?

Summary:
- Prepares monthly/quarterly sales and use tax payments/reports/filings for all state and local jurisdictions.
- Assists with quarterly and annual US GAAP income tax provision schedules.
- Assists with computations of global minimum tax and other foreign tax computation
- Assists with state and local income tax compliance activities for all US locations.
- Reviews tax depreciation reports and maintains tax basis schedule of fixed assets for all US and foreign locations.
- Prepares federal and state estimated income/franchise tax payments.
- Assists with federal, state and local tax audits.
- Prepares property tax and various local tax reports for US locations.
- Performs tax research regarding transactions, issues, and compliance requirements.
- Assists with general tax department activities with respect to various federal, state and local income tax requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Education Requirements: Accounting/Tax degree or working towards finalizing accounting or tax specific education. CPA not required. Should be working towards toward future CPA certification.
Experience Requirements:
- Some work experience preferred, but not required. Most important is the requirement that the person wants to learn about tax compliance in a global corporate environment, has long term potential, and is eager and wants to gain valuable experience.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Strong organizational and communication skills.
