Responsibilities include:
- Prepares work to be completed by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications and parts lists; gather parts, sub-assemblies, tools and materials.
- Assembles sheet metal and components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and sub-assemblies.
- Operate certain types of hand power tools/equipment necessary to complete the assembly of the garment machines i.e. impact wrench, impact drivers, hand drills, sander, etc.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
- Resolves assembly problems to meet specifications; notifying the Operations Supervisor for direction and approval.
- Keeps equipment operational by completing maintenance requirements; following manufacturers instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Assist other workers to perform their duties if needed.
- Maintain quality checks on job and report any unsafe or quality problems to management.
- Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating needed supplies; notifying Operations Supervisor.
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related goals to meet the company strategic initiatives.
