What we need:

benefitexpress is seeking a System Specialist to join our team! The System Specialist is responsible for analysis, configuration, and testing of client benefit plans on the My Benefit Express web platform. This position works closely with client service teams, clients, and external partners as a technical resource to implement and maintain system functionality including data integration between systems.

What you will do:
  • Configure client web sites, including benefit classes, plans, rates, and enrollment rules
  • Configure Open Enrollment and Life Event benefit plan design changes according to client requirements, ensure overall system readiness for employee system enrollments
  • Configure inbound HRIS import data element mapping and rules
  • Configure outbound payroll file mapping and payroll schedules
  • Coordinate with EDI team, insurance carriers, TPAs, and HRIS/payroll systems the integration and testing of data import / export updates (standard and proprietary)
  • Debug system configuration issues including root cause analysis
  • Perform data analysis and audits (often from various sources)
  • Maintain documentation of client specific set-up and processes
  • Train / transition new processes to client teams
  • Communicate and interface with management and clients, professionally and accurately
  • Integrate My Benefit Express™ and client systems, including data migration and assessing system compatibility

What you will need:
  • Experience in MS office Suite Software, including advanced Excel skills especially in the use of formulas such as VLOOKUP's.
  • Ability to gather and analyze data requirements
  • Communication Skills - Ability to analyze client requirements and documents as they relate to the position as well as the ability to speak / listen clearly and effectively to stakeholders at multiple levels both inside and outside of the company. Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to provide detailed internal and external communications to successfully document instructions and process.
  • Critical Thinking Skills - Ability to understand cause and effect, solve practical problems, and apply best practice methods and procedures. Must be capable of critical thinking, ability to think strategically before, during, and after a solution is deployed to production. Ability to translate broad goals into personal action plans and timelines. Application of creative problem solving skills should be utilized for all tasks.
  • Ability to constantly evolve current integration strategy to ensure efficiency
  • Ability to successfully prioritize deliverables and meet deadlines
  • Strong customer service orientation
