Assistant Benefit Administrator (Troy, MI)
Summary
An expanding Third Party Administrator is seeking a motivated, hardworking and highly organized professional with extensive experience in healthcare benefits and/or pension administration, and administrative procedures.
Assistant Benefit Administrator Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Plan Manager in the administration of various employee benefit plans
- Maintaining and preparing materials for meetings, including minute writing
- Reviewing and process all correspondence, and invoices
- Ensuring that client-specific procedures are routinely practiced and enforced
- Assisting in obtaining the data necessary for benefit studies, annual audits and timely submission of required government filings
- Exercising discretion in all matters relating to administration of the benefit plans and management of internal relationships
- Reviewing and analysis of monthly financial statements
- Interpreting plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and other governing documents
- Interacting with trustees, plan professionals, contributing employers and participants
Assistant Benefit Administrator Requirements:
- College education
- Experience with Taft-Hartley Plans
- Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, problem solving, organizational and grammar skills.
Work Schedule
Full time. Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm
