What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Summer Lifeguard position at Bennington Pool Services?
Job Summary:
As a Lifeguard, you are responsible for the supervision and safety of patrons while enforcing all rules and regulations. You will ensure the safety of visitors to our aquatic facility. As well as, maintain pool equipment, monitor record pool temperatures, speak with swimmers to enforce swimming rules, keep track of each swimmer in the water and administer first aid to injured swimmers. To ensure success you need to assess situations swiftly and make judicious decisions regarding the safety of swimmers.
If not lifeguard certified, do not worry! We offer many certification classes in various areas!
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the water
- Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services
- Able to act quickly and appropriately to secure the safety of patrons in the event of an emergency
- Present professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintain a high standard of customer service
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
- Prepare and maintain appropriate activity reports
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must obtain or in the process of obtaining a valid lifeguard certification
- Ability to work on weekends and holidays
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Excellent customer service skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour

Experience:
- Lifeguard: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Lifeguard Certification (Preferred)
- Driver's License (Preferred)
