The Assistant Account Manager will report to the Account Manager and is responsible for assisting the Account Manager in leading a team focused on supporting relationships with new and existing customers. Responsible for driving customer growth by developing partnerships, and offering cost-efficient, quality products and services and a superb customer experience. Motivated by providing a superb customer experience and have a customer-centric mentality. You will be expected to maintain a keen focus on driving excellence and efficiency while meeting Benson’s goals for quality, timely delivery, and revenue.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain and enhance customer experience and set customer expectations by establishing key relationships at the corporate level acting as the main point of contact.
Serve as back-up to the assigned team as leader while the Account Manager is unavailable.
Understand and be able to apply data analytics to identify and drive revenue opportunities, prepare presentation documents, and conduct Business Review meetings with customers
Conduct customer update meetings, identify customer needs, present solutions, and represent the Voice of the Customer (VOC) internally to Benson to achieve customer objectives
Act as point of contact for concerns (internal and external) and escalate issues as appropriate to Account Manager or Relationship Director
Maintain a consistent engagement strategy to track the success of the Customer relationship and manage customer concerns or issues (i.e. surveys, planning meetings, introduction of new innovations and services, etc.)
Collaborate with internal teams to provide information and project direction to ensure meeting of customer needs and expectations including project management, online store development and new customer transitions from onboarding.
Successfully navigate both customer-facing demands and internal challenges to facilitate the resolution of obstacles that could jeopardize customer relationships.
Responsible for overseeing high-profile projects, corporate marketing campaigns, bulk orders, nation-wide initiatives, and company rebrands
Oversight of day-to-day internal operations including managing the customer’s online store, conducting and overview of audits, communicating project information to internal teams, preparing weekly recap for management, managing expenses and documentation
Responsible for assisting Account Manager on direct report customer assignment and project allocation
Assist with managing, mentoring, training, and developing internal team and conducting training exercises, coaching and team culture development on an as-needed basis.
Educate team members on customer standards and expectations and promote the Customer-Centric philosophy
Attend customer conferences to serve the customer and better understand the market changes, customer challenges, and trends
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
Required, Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management or Marketing. Equivalent experience considered.

Work Experience:
Required, 3 years’ experience with customer services, business development, and/or relationship management
Print experience and multi-family housing experience a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Working at computer and sitting for long periods of time. (sitting, talking, hearing).
