Department Oversight:
- Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure to achieve goals and objectives efficiently.
Subsidiary Oversight:
- Supervise accounting operations of subsidiary companies, focusing on robust control systems, transaction-processing operations, and adherence to policies and procedures.
Financial Management
- Ensure timely payments and efficient handling of Accounts Payable and Receivable.
- Conduct regular financial assessments, including bank reconciliations and debt payment monitoring.
- Maintain a detailed chart of accounts and an organized accounting filing system.
- Establish and uphold a comprehensive system of controls over accounting transactions.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Issue timely and comprehensive financial statements.
- Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report and manage annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Provide critical financial analyses for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
- Monitor budget variances, report significant issues, and develop performance benchmarks.
- Manage Work in Progress reporting and ensure compliance with all regulatory and tax filing requirements.
