Description
Student and Local Missions Coordinator
Missions : Full Time, Non-Exempt
Bent Tree – experiencing and sharing the love of Jesus.
The Student and Local Missions Coordinator supports, drives, and strategically engages the Bent Tree body in Missions through student missions and local missions’ related events and activities. They work directly with parents and students to plan, shepherd, train, and fundraise for our annual Student Mission Journeys. Through a partnership with the Missions Ministry and Student Ministry, the Coordinator administrates the process and maintains communication with all those involved with excellence. The Coordinator identifies strategic partnerships with local non-profits/ministries to transform our community through both monetary support and engaging the body in volunteer opportunities with local missions partners.

- Strong computer literacy skills and Microsoft Office Skills
- Well organized with good time management and project management abilities
- Demonstrated ability in identifying, recruiting, training, equipping, and leading servants and servant teams
- Ability to manage, administrate, juggle multiple projects well. Ability to take projects from ideas to execution, to maintain the big picture and drive the details
- Understand, accept, and embrace a diversity of cultures and peoples
- Exceptional interpersonal and rapport-building skills
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with a diverse group of people in a variety of situations
- Skilled in conflict resolution and in having difficult conversations with clarity and kindness when needed
DUTIES
- Strategically align and plan annual Student Missions Journeys with Bent Tree Partners
- Identify, recruit, equip, and lead servants for Student Mission Journeys, Missions Week, Missions Sundays, and other Missions related events and activities
- Research and execute logistics for Student Missions related travel including transportation, documentation, accommodations, etc.
- Partner with Ministry Leaders, Engagement, and Operations to promote and execute Student Missions related communication, events, and activities
- Lead and administrate the student mission journey process. Train leaders on trip procedures and the discipleship process
- Shepherd leaders and students on teams through discipleship and consistent encouragement. Develop teams through team building activities and team meetings during mission journey season
- Partner with Student Ministry to make team selections
- Identify, plan, promote, and execute servant appreciation and celebration events
- Partner with Missions staff in annual ministry planning and budgeting including tracking and management of assigned tasks, projects and events
- Partner with Missions Pastor to engage with Bent Tree body in Mission including, Local Missions, Student Missions, and Life Groups through creative and effective methods
- Develop and strengthen relationships with department leaders, ministry partners and local churches for the purpose of collaboration and city transformation
- Identify strategic local partners to work with towards transforming the community. Maintain relationships with those partners
- Partner with Missions Pastor to develop a strategy to engage and educate and educate/equip the body in the pursuit of transforming our community. Execute this strategy and work with Engagement to develop communication around the strategy
