Benton County is actively looking for a motivated and hard-working individual to serve as a
Building Maintenance Technician. 

Job Summary
Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure that building systems run functionally and efficiently. Work includes maintenance and preventative maintenance (PM) of electrical & mechanical systems; and construction including, framing, sheet rocking, painting; labor and assisting Building Maintenance Technician 2 in major project work. This position also performs custodial and landscaping duties as needed.

  • Annual salary range of:
    • $41,346 - $54,252
    • This position is eligible for up to two salary raises within your first year. Increases may be given at the end of the 6 month probationary period, depending on starting salary, and at the 1 year anniversary, as long as your performance is in good standing! Increases are given until the maximum of the salary range is reached.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
 The following minimum qualification is required for this position:

  • 4 years of work experience related to construction, custodial or grounds maintenance with at least 2 of those years in facilities maintenance.
An equivalent combination of closely related education and experience may be accepted. Please note candidates must have at least 6 months of actual work experience to be considered as equivalent.

Special Requirements:
  • Hiring is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
  • A valid Oregon driver's license or ability to obtain.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Trade or medical facility experience is preferred
