Position - Production Operator, Juicerista, Market Staff

Location: Lowell, MA and surrounding areas

Wages: $15 / hour bonus incentives

The Beraka Juice Family is a group of 5-12 employees. We're looking to add more people to the Beraka Juice Family

In a given week, we are producing juices and actively participating at events such as farmers’ markets, fairs, corporate and festivals. We make everything from scratch: from washing and cutting produce, to labeling and filling juice bottles - we do it all! Additional activities include serving guests at our local shops in Cambridge and Winthrop.​

The production will take place in Winthrop, MA and events will take place in towns/cities within 30 miles. ​

Job term

• Minimum of 6 months to receive bonus incentive

Available shifts (must be available to work on some weekends)

• 6-12 hours
• 12-20 hours
• 20 based on experience​

• Applicants must have a valid driver’s license to be considered for the position. (Driving to farmers markets is another requirement.)
• Being able to learn quickly and follow all food and safety guidelines
• Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs repeatedly and easily, and work physically for 4 hours

​Job responsibilities:

Farmers Markets/Events Sampling and Serving

Beraka Juice takes part at 5-10 events per week where we take our guests through the Beraka Juice experience and serve our organic cold-pressed juices, smoothies, acai bowls and more! The Beraka Juice experience consists of taking our guests for an unforgettable juice tasting experience through sampling. Each Beraka Juice family member is expected to do 2-3 markets each week.

​Our responsibilities with markets are:

• Arriving to farmers markets/events on time, setting up tent, tables, display and preparing tastings for the start of the event
• Engaging guests, educating them on our products, and providing an exceptional guest experience.
• Break down of tent & display, maintaining records and returning equipment back to our flagship shop in Winthrop, MA.
• Must provide own transportation

Other additional shifts in Production include

• Labeling bottles
• Washing and cutting produce
• Bottling juices
• Working in our commercial kitchen
• Using industrial food processing equipment
• Being on feet for 4 hours
• Washing dishes

Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to operate a cash register and handle basic math calculations
- Experience with stocking and retail sales
- Proficiency in POS systems
- Strong communication skills and phone etiquette
- Ability to conduct product demonstrations
- Multilingual or bilingual skills preferred
- Upselling experience is a plus
- Familiarity with merchandising techniques
- Basic knowledge of technology and electronics sales
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Valid driver's license

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $15.05 - $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
