The Junior Software Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating software development projects from initiation to completion. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and quality assurance professionals, to ensure the successful delivery of software solutions.
Duties and responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules and resource allocation.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, taking proactive measures to mitigate potential setbacks.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
- Conduct regular project status meetings, providing updates and addressing any concerns or issues.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
- Implement quality assurance measures, conduct regular code reviews, and ensure proper testing and documentation of software solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, development, project management, or a related field
- One to three years of experience in project management
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and processes
- Previous experience in software project management, preferably in an Agile. Scrum or waterfall methodology is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey project requirements, assess business needs, provide feedback, and facilitate collaboration among team members and stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Problem solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure are essential.
