Responsibilities:
· Financial Reporting and Analysis: Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements and provide insightful analysis and recommendations to management.
· General Ledger Management: Oversee the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
· Month-End and Year-End Close: Assist the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial reporting requirements.
· Budgeting and Forecasting: Monitor budget vs. actual performance, identify variances, and provide analysis to support cost control and financial planning initiatives.
· Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls. Stay updated on changes in accounting principles and ensure adherence to best practices.
· Audit and Tax Support: Assist in the coordination of external audits and tax filings. Provide necessary documentation and support to auditors and tax advisors.
· Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and strengthen internal controls. Implement improvements to optimize financial operations.
· Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers and department heads, to gather financial data and provide financial insights for project planning and decision-making.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting
· Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the architecture or construction industry
· Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards
· Advanced Excel required; experience with Deltek Vision or Vantage Point is a plus
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
· Strong organizational and time management abilities
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills
