SUMMARY

Paragon Professional Services, LLC (Paragon), a wholly owned subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC), is seeking a Engineering Student to support a wide range of environmental projects from the Folsom, California office. The qualified candidate should be safety conscious, motivated, hardworking and understand the many aspects of working on sites involving contaminated soil, groundwater, sediment, and surface water. Primary duties will include scheduling, drafting, providing data analysis, research, and preparing planning documents.

$20.00-$25.00/hour

Responsibilities

• Prepare schedules
• Drafting using AutoCAD
• Prepare technical reports
• Update/prepare work plans
• Update/prepare reports
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Willingness, desire, and ability to adapt to a changing regulatory climate
• Familiarity with technical data analysis and contamination delineation techniques
• Course work to include but not limited to engineering, chemistry, environmental toxicology, ecology, water science or hydrology, environmental policy, and environmental impact assessment
• Valid driver’s license 
• AutoCAD software experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

• Microsoft® Office Suite
• Strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer literacy, and strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to find solutions to unique logistical and environmental challenges

Preferred

• Currently pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is primarily an office position.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base or other secure facility.
