Responsibilities
Responsible for creation, management and quality of New Business and Renewal submissions following all contractual rules and regulations.
Submission entry and clearance will also require adherence to naming standards and filing procedures. Assist with office incoming mail and outgoing mail, motor vehicles records, commercial automobile filings and signed form follow-ups as requested by Underwriting or driven by standard departmental practices.
Shared responsibility of delivery of policies and endorsements as well as assisting agencies requesting loss runs. Responsible for promptly responding to all agent / customer requests, analyzing and processing incoming correspondence.
Customer Service
- Comply with contractual rules
- Occasionally answer customer telephone calls
- Analyze correspondence to determine action needed
- Prepare correspondence and do follow up if necessary
- Providing loss information to approved agents as requested
Policy Issuance
- Review all new business policies to determine the agency assigned
- Assign new business
- Set up new submissions
- Assist with delivery of New and Renewal policies
Policy Maintenance
- Assist with delivery of policy endorsements based on correspondence, customer / agent requests
- Update files for agent changes
- Assist department with commercial auto filings and motor vehicle records
Accountable For
- Accuracy and integrity of data on the policies, endorsements and with all documents distributed outside or inside the organization
- Meeting policy issuance standards for new and renewal policies
- Meeting timeliness standards based on individual contract agreements and departmental standards
- Meeting team timeliness and quality standards
May perform other functions as assigned
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of commercial insurance desired
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Must be detail-oriented
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, Adobe Acrobat
Education
High school diploma or GED and two years office experience or post-high school education
