Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Chief Underwriting Officer, this position will gain an in-depth knowledge of the insurance industry. The Intern will receive on the job training and given the opportunity to work on meaningful assignments.
- Develop an understanding of the insurance industry from multiple facets
- Achieve a proficiency in the technical and professional skills/knowledge of the assigned position (on the job training)
- Collaborate on projects as assigned and the opportunity to develop an understanding of the insurance industry
- Other duties that will support business strategies
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
- Knowledgeable and proficient with the Microsoft Professional products in addition to Internet search capabilities
- Previous customer service work experience a plus
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Your communication style is flexible to the situation. You communicate clearly and with a purpose
- Calm under pressure. You have excellent organizational skills, integrity, and great follow-through on tasks. You are comfortable challenging norms while working collaboratively with colleagues.
