Purpose/Objective:
The Enterprise Analytics team at Berkshire Bank leverages data and analytics to build meaningful insights for our partners in marketing, risk, and sales. We have a strong partnership with our technology partners, who provide us with the data and analytics infrastructure. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and apply a variety of machine learning and predictive models and influence the long-term evolution of our data science roadmap. You will work directly with senior leaders across the organization to understand their needs via consultative problem solving and develop models using latest machine learning techniques. Afterward, you will deliver actionable insights to stakeholders with verbal and written communication. You will need to be entrepreneurial, able to deal with ambiguity and work in a highly collaborative environment. You will need to be a sophisticated user of advanced quantitative techniques, and an expert at synthesizing and communicating insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will also focus on exploring and prioritizing experimentation hypothesis, personalization, and use-cases that could drive valuable insights.
Key Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (i.e., marketing, sales, and risk) to understand their business needs, formulate an end-to-end analytics solution that includes data gathering, analysis, and predictive modeling.
- Develop and implement advanced analytics solutions including customer segmentations, and machine learning models to solve business problems.
- Analyze drivers of marketing performance to understand the relative impact of opportunities, and effectiveness on acquisition and relationship deepening outcomes.
- Design and deploy analytical frameworks for marketing measurement - A/B testing, campaign ROI, cost of acquisition, lifetime value, etc.
- Build tools and solutions to measure model performance over time.
- Operate as a subject matter expert on statistical modeling, design and analysis of experiment, and financial impact analysis.
- Deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of leadership.
Education:
- BA/BS or advanced degree in Statistics, Math, Engineering preferred.
Experience:
- 3 years of experience coding in SAS, Python, R, or other modeling environments
- 3 years of experience applying modern machine learning techniques to build predictive models for both classification and regression problems
Skills & Knowledge:
- Practical knowledge of data from various bureaus and third-party data providers
- Familiar with data visualization tools like Power BI to uncover analytical insights as well as dashboards design
- Excellent communicator (written and verbal) with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities/workflows
