Produce Team Member

Produce Team Members provide support to the produce team including receiving and preparing product, maintaining the produce floor and displays, and offering excelling customer service to our customers. Performs all functions related to breaking down deliveries and stocking shelves.

Responsibilities and Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Provide exceptional customer service
• Manage department activities related to stocking, pricing and rotation of merchandise
• Assist in receiving, display and sale of all products in accordance to company quality and merchandising standards
• Labels items accurately with price tags or signs. Reports price discrepancies to supervisors
• Maintains a well-organized, clean workspace including desks, back stock areas, carts and receiving area
• Preforms other tasks as assigned by supervisors or team leaders

Skills and Requirements:

• (Preferred) 2 years produce or relative experience
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent
• Strong customer service skills
• Excellent verbal communication and organizational attitude
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment with a professional and friendly attitude
• Ability to work both independently and as part as a team
• Has a passion for our community and must love food!

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand up to eight hours a day
• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds at a time independently or with assistance on an occasional to frequent basis
• Ability to use fine motor skills
• Ability to adapt to changes in temperature due to opening doors, coolers and freezers
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, crouch, walk, kneel, push, pull and twist repeatedly
• Ability to lit product overhead and/or climb ladders with product
• Ability to remember product placement and back stock
• Ability to read small print
• Ability to tolerate exposure to noise from machinery and the general environment
• Ability to write notes, emails, and items of a similar nature on a computer, touch screen, or by hand

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
