Job Posting for Financial Systems Operations Analyst at Berkshire Health Systems
DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION
Responsible for the data integrity and integration of the Health System’s Enterprise Performance Management Solutions system. Assists in the maintenance, investigation, and resolution of any financial system associated with financial/operational development. Develops, tests, and evaluates financial reports. Implements report automation and assists with development of new reporting, budgeting, and data validation tools. Supports the Health System’s financial/operational planning and development of the operating budget. Participates in the development and implementation of projects that support the strategic goals of the Heath System.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
Experience:
Five years of experience in a finance environment. Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate critical thinking skills, sound knowledge of financial accounting, fluid knowledge of Microsoft products and experience with internal financial and operational computer systems.
Experience in report development, operational analysis
Healthcare industry experience preferred.
Education and Training:
Bachelor’s Degree in finance or Accounting.
Advanced experience in Microsoft products and computer operations/systems required.
License, Certification & Registration:
None.
Other Requirements:
Advanced understanding of statistical tools and technology necessary to analyze data, organize and summarize data into compelling and informative reports that can be presented to and utilized by managers and senior managers in an effort to improve operations.
Motivated to learn the structure of underlying databases, interrelationship between various system applications and leverage such knowledge on ensuring integrity of data and reports.
Requires an aptitude for technology and systems
In depth understanding of healthcare industry and issues gained through 3 years’ experience in either hospital operations, financial analysis and/or systems improvement required.
Ability to work with limited supervision on projects.
Ability to prioritize work, multi-task and meet deadlines.
Self-motivated, can see opportunities or issues, develop a process to analyze and understand the root cause and work alone or with others as appropriate to bring issues to resolution.
Requires initiative, creativity, attention to detail and a sense of ownership over a process and system that will be relied upon by others to support decision making in the organization.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work with multi-functional teams.
Works closely with others to share resources, improve the overall processes of the Finance Division, and support projects as needed.
