As a BMC Commercial Lease Administrator, your main function is to review lease documents and establish and manage commercial tenant lease accounts. You will also assist with annual CAM reconciliations. You will report to the Manager of Lease Administration and work closely with the CAM specialist Commercial Accountant. You will not have supervisor responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities*

  • Oversee a portfolio of 53 commercial and mixed-use residential and retail properties.
  • Abstract all commercial lease documents in Yardi.
  • Maintain all digital commercial tenant lease files including lease documents, miscellaneous correspondence, and tenant financial information.
  • Understand and communicate lease details to tenants and to other departments within the company.
  • Process monthly move-in and move-outs as well as holdover leases.
  • Review monthly rent-ups for accuracy prior to rent posting.
  • Monitor critical lease dates including renewals and expirations.
  • Answer tenant questions about lease details in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Track gross sales reporting and calculate and bill percentage rent for approximately 30 tenants.
  • Assist in calculation of annual operating expense reconciliations.
  • Audit leases and Yardi database information to ensure accuracy.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

  • Two years of commercial lease administration experience and/or accounting and property management
  • Experience with CAM reconciliations
  • Experience in commercial real estate

Preferences

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Yardi, MRI, JD Edwards, or other comparable commercial real estate software experience
  • Familiar with base accounting principals
