Responsibilities
Primary job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Report to the EH&S Manager
- Promote a Safe & Productive team work environment
- Communicates and cooperates with other employees in a positive and constructive manner to achieve the goals of the department and the plant.
- Directly facilitate and participate in ongoing process improvements through the use of techniques such as Kaizan, 6S and other lean tools.
- Work with various department stakeholders to build a continuous improvement environment to support an ongoing program of change.
- This position will help implement 6S throughout the organization by assisting with creation of tool shadow boards and managing floor/racking markings.
- Perform routine housekeeping and cleaning as assigned/required
- Create/Update Standard Condition Guides for work cells.
- Uphold Safety Absolutes
- Work & perform to ISO standards, SOPs & Work Instructions
- Uphold Quality Standards & follow the Absolutes.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.
- Capable of reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Some computer skills
- Capable of lifting up to 35lbs periodically
- Capable of complying with all Safety requirements including the use of PPE: PPE includes but is not limited to Bump Cap or Hard Hat, Safety Eyewear or Prescription Safety Eyewear, Safety Shoes, Hearing Protection and Disposable Mask.
- Capable of maintaining an attendance record within Company guidelines and working required overtime.
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Negative drug screen results.
- Work in a safe manner
- Ability to multi-task
- Previous experience in a manufacturing of plastics operation preferred.
