As a member of the Engineered Materials logistics group, the Freight Claims Specialist will be responsible for managing freight claim processes for all modes within the division. This position will manage the intake, validation, approval, collection, reporting and disposition of claims filed.

 

This is a REMOTE position.

Responsibilities

· Evaluate incoming freight claims for validity and accuracy.

· Aggressively file and monitor valid claims with all carriers.

· Assist in coordinating the return of damaged product to the assigned facility.

· Act as a liaison with shipping and quality leadership teams to complete claims within 60 days of filing and at a collection rate of 90%.

· Establish reports and KPI’s that identify opportunities to decrease overall claims.

· Perform all other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree, or closely related equivalent

· Knowledge of the TICS system desired

· Experience with freight or other claims processes

· Ability to work in Microsoft office tools

· Excellent time management skills

· Above average communications skills

· Ability to work individually or in teams
