Responsibilities
Purpose The Packer’s primary functions are to package and label rolls for shipping. This position requires no previous experience and will be trained on the job to gain overall understanding and basic performance requirements.
Primary Job Functions
- Comply with all job related ISO quality procedures and specifications
- Separate, label, seal, and package finished rolls
- Read and follow all shop order instructions accurately
- Make general and customer specific labels using JDE or the label program as specified on the work order
- Keep up with High Volume
- Advise forklift driver when skids are ready for removal or use pallet jack to remove the pallet
- Perform other duties as required and directed
General Duties
- Organize, clean, and maintain supply racks and main packing area
- Adhere to inventory procedures
- Maintain any inventory data through use of scan gun and/or written log and/or computer based inventory control system
- Complete required paperwork and reporting
Qualifications
Education, Experience, Skills
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Must communicate fluently in English (speaking, reading, writing)
- Basic computer skills
- Basic knowledge of scan guns and/or inventory control system preferred
- If required to operate a forklift, previous experience preferred and/or current certification
