Overview
The Process Engineer is responsible for monitoring and processing injection molding machines to ensure safety and high quality while maximizing machine efficiency. The Process Engineer also directs the work of other Technicians to ensure continuous production support.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Diagnoses and resolves processing related problems on molding cells.-Determines and implements corrective actions and evaluates effectiveness as appropriate.-Warrants the best compliance at all times for all molding processes to their established standard across the factory (in terms of cycle time, quality, safety for both employees and machines, and sustainability).-Monitors machine/process operations and documentation to ensure quality standards are maintained.-Follows data and process documentation.-Utilizes analytical and Scientific Injection Molding troubleshooting techniques for achieving continuous improvement.
- Provides continuous Floor support by directing the work of other Technicians.-Communicates and delegates planned and unplanned activities in conjunction with department production monitoring system (Barco).-Instructs other Technicians in informal and formal training sessions.
- Maintains direct involvement on all area-related processing and equipment problems, interacting with Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, and Engineering.-Communicates with prior and oncoming shift personnel regarding daily issues encountered.-Investigates scrap reduction techniques within work cell and improves part capture.-Working with Shift Leader and Continuous Improvement & Process Manager, brainstorms continuous improvement ideas to maximize productivity and efficiencies.
- Supports and maintains all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO/BRC Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, and standard work procedures. Domestic and Internation travel to vendor, mold trials and training, sometimes on short notice, will be necessary.
Qualifications
Required Education/Skills:
- BS Degree or equivalent experience
- 5 years’ experience in manufacturing/production environment, or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years in a similar position
- Proven molding and processing skills
- Proven problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills; leader by example
- Availability and flexibility
- MS Office experience
