Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Operates hand truck or various truck from our fleet of trucks (fork, reach, picker) to move or convey shipments
- Assembles finished orders and loads shipments based on established standard operating procedures
- Prepares skids: straps, stretch wraps, weighs
- Receives incoming shipments based on established standard operating procedures
- Prints and pulls warehouse transfers and orders
- Receives, inspects and stores merchandise or materials
- Executes all aspects of shipping orders and receiving product from outside vendors
- Restocks corrugated and production’s needs
- Ensure that forklift is in proper, safe working order and report any issues to supervisor or team lead
- Works with Production, Administrative and Corporate departments
- Assists in training of new employees
- Supports & complies with safety guidelines
- Comply with ISO procedures, audits, and programs
- Properly and consistently use proper scanning scripts for all movement of product
- Competently utilize JDE system for all paperwork and inventory management.
- Correctly select pallet sizes for customers and ensure pallets are kept in the correct location
- Communicate and cooperate with other employees in a positive and constructive manner to achieve the goals of the department and the plant
- Follow all established safety procedures in plant and warehouse
- Promote safety by following all plant safety rules and report violations and unsafe practices to appropriate personnel
- Promote GMP policy, product safety and daily cleaning
- Any other duties as assigned by supervisor on shift or department manager
Position Hours
- 7:00PM - 7:00AM
- Assigned 12-hour schedule
- Schedule rotates as follows: two days on, two days off, three days on, two days off, etc.
- Flexibility for occasional overtime and call-in work required
Qualifications
- Knowledge and skills to operate lift trucks safely
- Ability to take direction and work well with others
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good English writing, reading & speaking skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Basic computer systems knowledge
- Basic knowledge of inventory systems
- Attention to detail
Salary : $13 - $0
