JOB PURPOSE

Transports materials throughout the plant by using a powered lift truck.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

DAILY

  • Transport skids and materials in plant based on machines needs or schedule.
  • Stages jobs as needed.
  • Changes battery as needed.
  • Operates the lift truck in safe manner.
  • Assures that the lift truck is in good running condition.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Forklift Truck Operator certification
  • Forklift experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Shipping/Receiving experience

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Good reading comprehension
  • Basic math skills including calculation of decimals/fractions
  • Must be able to use a ruler and a calculator
  • High degree of initiative and attention to detail needed
  • Mechanical skills
  • Machine operating experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Self-discipline and self-motivation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
