Job Title: PCU/RN (Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse)Job Summary:As a PCU/RN, you will be responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit. You will assess patients' conditions, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans. Your role is crucial in ensuring the well-being and recovery of patients in the PCU.Responsibilities and Duties:1. Assess and monitor patients' conditions in the PCU2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed3. Monitor vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team4. Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop and implement care plans5. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and post-discharge care6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records7. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programsQualifications and Skills:1. Current RN license in the state of practice2. BLS and ACLS certification3. Two years of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a PCU4. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively7.
