Job title: Registered Nurse (RN) Med/SurgJob Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) Med/Surg provides compassionate and high-quality patient care in a medical-surgical unit. Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, administering medications, collaborating with healthcare team members, and educating patients about their conditions and treatment plans.Responsibilities and Duties:1. Assessing and monitoring patient conditions2. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed3. Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare team members4. Educating patients and their families about health conditions and treatment plans5. Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records6. Responding to emergencies and providing patient care as needed7. Ensuring patient safety and comfort8. Working with interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care9. Participating in quality improvement initiatives10. Adhering to hospital policies and procedures11. Providing emotional support to patients and families12. Assisting with discharge planning13. Performing clinical procedures as needed14. Participating in ongoing education and training15. Maintaining a clean and safe work environmentQualifications and Skills:1. Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred3. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical-surgical setting4. BLS and ACLS certification5. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills6. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities7. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team8. Proficiency in electronic medical record systems9. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment10. Compassion and empathy for patients and their families11. Strong organizational and time management skills12. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends13. Commitment to ongoing professional development14.
