Job Title: Sterile Processing TechnologistJob Summary:As a Sterile Processing Technologist, you will be responsible for cleaning, sterilizing and preparing medical instruments and equipment for use in surgical procedures and patient care. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients by maintaining a sterile operating environment.Responsibilities and Duties:1. Inspecting, assembling and packaging surgical instruments and equipment2. Operating autoclaves and other sterilization equipment3. Maintaining accurate records of sterilization processes4. Collaborating with surgical team members to ensure appropriate instrument availability5. Following infection control policies and procedures6. Participating in continuing education and training programs to stay current on industry standards7. Adhering to hospital and regulatory guidelines for sterilization processes8. Keeping work area clean and organized9. Assisting in inventory management of sterile supplies10. Troubleshooting equipment and process issues as neededQualifications and Skills:1. High school diploma or equivalent2. Certification in sterile processing or surgical technology3. Knowledge of sterilization techniques and equipment4. Attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols5. Strong communication and teamwork skills6. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment7.
