Job Description Overview

Bespoke Education provides the highest quality tutoring, test preparation, academic support, and class instruction to students from elementary through graduate school. We teach in 1-on-1 sessions, in small groups, and in classes in partnership with preparatory schools and charter schools through our Bespoke Education Access (BEA) program - an integral part of Bespoke.BEA’s mission is to provide access to high quality teaching and tutoring to a diverse group of communities and students who do not typically have access to such services.

We are seeking talented, inspiring teachers with teaching experience to lead our BEA classes. Our teachers conduct lessons in person. They are empathic and perceptive educators who put students first. They set high standards and emphasize student understanding, creativity, critical thinking, and overall growth over results. They are collaborative team players, taking feedback well and going above and beyond to drive results for their students.

Class Information

- Classes are currently in person

- Classes are either during the school day.

- We are currently seeking teachers for the following subjects:

In Person High School Reading Teacher - Hartford, CT. Must be able to work during the day, in person!

Responsibilities

- Teach one or more classes of students in person (approximately 10 student per class)

- Assign and administer assessments that evaluate student understanding of content

- Collaborate with company administrators, school representatives, and peer teachers to develop and deliver a high-quality curriculum

- Ability to teach in a clear, confident way that delivers material and engages students

- Capacity for independent work and ability to take responsibility for one’s own preparation and teaching time

Qualifications

- Part-time availability (during the day a must)

- A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred

- Experience teaching high school is required

Location

- Must be able to teach in person in Hartford, Connecticut!
