Job Summary
The human resource generalist is responsible for managing the daily responsibilities of the business office and works closely with senior management. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, recruitment/employment, orientation, employee relations, training, performance management, policy implementation, cash management, and assisting the Executive Director with other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Supports the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the Organization.
- Providing timely assistance to team members regarding benefit and human resource questions and issues.
- Preparing offer packets, benefit packets, and other employee-related information.
- Coordinating employee benefit eligibility, enrollments, terminations, and payments.
- Preparing employee census information for insurance, 401(k), and other reports.
- Providing written and verbal employment verifications.
- Coordinating new hire paperwork, and new hire orientation meetings.
- Assisting with the creation of training manuals, HR manuals, and employee handbooks.
- Reviewing, screening, and maintaining applications and resumes.
- Conducting background screenings for all prospective employees.
- Coordinating 90-day and annual performance appraisal processes.
- Organizes and maintains payroll and employee benefit records to maintain compliance with correct and legal practices. Including time cards, payroll, employee benefits maintenance, employee badges, time off monitoring, and employee files.
- Assisting with providing research for policies, training, and other human resource issues.
- Maintains all personnel records in accordance with state and regulatory guidelines.
- Organizes and supports Department Leaders with interviewing, hiring, termination processes.
- Develops and maintains the general orientation process for new hires in conjunction with Department Leaders.
- Participates in and maintains minutes for any formal staff or human resource meetings.
- Organizes business office activities to support Facility operations and keep appropriate records for financial status monitoring by the Executive Director.
- Supervises activities of medical records department policies and procedures.
- Communicates effectively with patients, visitors, vendors, physicians, and staff and documents appropriately when necessary.

Qualifications- Education, Experience, and Skills
Required:
- Experience in Human Resources
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree
- A high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Publisher is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong math skills required.
- Good organizational skills are required.
- Able to multi-task
