Road Service Fleet Technician

Best Line Equipment is seeking a Road Service Fleet Technician based out of our Allentown, PA location. The primary function of this position is to travel to site to troubleshoot, repair, service, and maintain different types of fleet equipment. This position will provide mobile support for our Allentown, Warminster, West Chester, Bensalem, PA and Keyport, NJ locations.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate all types of CMVs with intent to diagnose safety issues, deficiencies, or failures.
• Repair and maintain gasoline and diesel engines used to power fleet.
• Record repairs made, time spent on labor, and parts used.
• Perform routine maintenance on fleet vehicles such as cleaning and oiling parts, honing cylinders, and tuning ignition systems.
• Ensure that vehicles and trailers meet USDOT, FMCSA, and PADOT inspections and regulations.
• Full time position with excellent benefits and competitive compensation. 40-50 hours per week.

Requirements:

• One to three years' experience in comparable markets. (Troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing automotive, truck, construction, industrial, or agricultural equipment.)
• Must possess strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, computer skills, and strong electrical, mechanical abilities.
• PA State Inspection Certification Class 7 and associated CDL.
• Valid DOT physical exam
• Working knowledge of all USDOT, PADOT, and FMCSA regulations.
• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Starting pay rate dependent on experience and certifications.
